Softron B.V. Robert Sikkema and Peter van Rij. Gig-a-tronic grew out of real planning and invoicing work.
How Gig-a-tronic started
Gig-a-tronic did not start on a whiteboard. Robert ran a small healthcare staffing agency and spent evenings in spreadsheets: scheduling shifts, getting hours right, calculating ORT (irregular-hours premium), and getting invoices out the door.
Peter, then mainly a BI consultant, first built an Excel aid for that chain. It worked well enough to show what was really needed: plan, approve, and invoice in one administration, with the rate that applied that day.
Then it became a product. Robert became co-owner of Softron B.V. Together we keep building Gig-a-tronic, from the work itself, without the gloss.
