Shifts from the client portal
Open client-scoped Shifts, request new coverage (Request Shift / Request a New Shift), and track My shift requests you submitted.
Outcome
You open `/shifts` as a Client, open the request form without submitting, and find My shift requests (`created_by_me`) when present: without using the planner Assign board.
Who it's for
Client with shifts access
Prerequisites
- Client role with a linked client organization
- At least one project (and location) helps when filling the request form: empty lists still teach the chrome
Steps
- From the Client sidebar open Shifts (`/shifts`). You see the shared Shifts chrome scoped to your client: project selection (not the full multi-client planner picker). Soft-link the Planning cluster for how the agency assigns and statuses work; you request and review, you do not run Smart Assign.
- Request new coverage. From Client Dashboard, Request Shift goes to `/shifts?showInput=true`, and the home card Request a New Shift lets you Show Form / Hide Form for the ClientShiftRequestForm. Fields (product labels): Project, Location, Start Time, End Time, Comments / Notes, optional Repeat (Once / Weekly / Monthly) and Occurrences, plus Same as last time when a prior request is stored. Submit is Request Shift: do not submit during screenshot captures.
- After you submit for real, the agency assigns a suitable resource and follows up (form intro). Status and assignment depth belong on the planner side: soft-link Planning.
- Track what you asked for: on the dashboard, My shift requests (when you have any) opens `/shifts?created_by_me=true` with your client id so the list filters to requests you created. If you have none yet, learn the empty client Shifts chrome instead.
- Use View Shifts / date filters on `/shifts` to review upcoming and past client-scoped work. Next in this cluster: Invoicing and Contracts from the Client finance nav.
