View invoice and documents
Open View Invoice for one record: Invoice Summary, Invoice Items, and Documents tabs (Invoice / Details / UBL XML): then Download, Edit, or return to the list for email.
Outcome
You open `/invoicing/view?id=` from the invoicing list, read summary and line items, switch Documents tabs, and know Download / Edit / Delete live here while email stays on the list.
Who it's for
Planner / finance
Prerequisites
- At least one invoice in staging helps: empty list means generate first
- Invoicing view permission (edit/delete only if your role allows)
Steps
- From Invoicing Management open View (file icon) on a row, or go to `/invoicing/view?id=` with the invoice id (query param, not a path segment). Page shows View Invoice / Invoice #…. Use Back to Invoices to return to the hub. Soft-continue in from Generate and preview invoices when you just saved a new invoice.
- Read Invoice Summary: Date, Due, Status, Client, Subtotal, VAT, Total. Credit invoices may show a Credit badge and Crediting Original. Below, Invoice Items lists Description, Unit Price, Qty, VAT %, Total (Inc). This screen is primarily read-only browsing: do not invent Finatronic posting from these totals.
- Open Documents: tabs Invoice, Details, and UBL XML load in the viewer as shipped. Details or UBL may show Document not available / UBL XML not available for some invoices: that is normal. Use Download for the selected type. On Apple devices, prefer Download if inline PDF only shows the first page.
- Use Previous / Next to move between invoices when available. Edit opens `/invoicing/edit?id=` for header and line changes when status and permissions allow: soft-omit exhaustive every-field edit. Delete asks for confirmation; do not delete on capture. Soft-link ORT (`md-irregularity-schemes`) only if you need to understand how ORT amounts were built upstream.
- There is no Email button on View: return with Back to Invoices and use the row Email icon (next tutorial). Soft continue: Email and export invoices. Client-scoped read-only lists stay under Invoicing and contracts for clients (`client-portal-invoicing-contracts`).
