Settings hub
Open /settings as your control center: three sections of cards, only what your permissions allow: then drill into users, security, appearance, and more.
Outcome
You find Settings, recognize Organization & Access, Operations & Data, and Personalization & Interface, open the right card, and know why Billing or Data Import may be missing in simple mode.
Who it's for
Anyone with at least one Settings permission (admins see the most)
Prerequisites
- Signed in to Gig-a-tronic
- At least one Settings permission: otherwise the hub shows that nothing is accessible
Steps
- Open Settings from the sidebar or user menu, or go to `/settings`. This is the config hub for the workspace: not company master data (clients, services, team invites live under Company / Business tutorials).
- You see up to three sections. Each section holds cards (icon, title, short description). Click a card to open that page. Empty sections stay hidden. If you have no Settings permissions at all, you see: “No settings are currently accessible. Please contact your administrator for access.”
- Organization & Access (product labels): User Management (`/settings/users`): team members only; Billing & Subscription (`/settings/billing`): team members only; Security & Authentication (`/settings/security`); Session Management (`/settings/sessions`). Use User Management for roles and permissions on existing accounts; inviting people / team size soft-links to Company team (`md-team`).
- Operations & Data: Notifications (`/settings/notifications`); Data Management (`/settings/data`): team members only; Data Import (`/settings/import`): team members only. In simple mode the product hides Billing & Subscription and Data Import: if those cards are missing, that is expected, not a bug.
- Personalization & Interface: Appearance (`/settings/appearance`); Localization (`/settings/localization`). Theme and locale here match what Quick Setup / Personal setup already offered: change them anytime from Settings. Admins with full access (not resource accounts) also see Restart Onboarding: an action card that resets company onboarding and sends you to `/onboarding`. Treat it carefully; this tutorial does not walk that reset step by step.
- Working pattern: land on the hub → open one card → use Back to return to `/settings` → next card. Depth for each area follows in this cluster: users and roles → appearance and localization → security, sessions, and notifications → data, import, and billing (when visible). Optional connections for IT live on Technical fit. They are not a Settings hub card.
