Client rates

Open Business → Clients → Rates to maintain what you charge each customer. Invoicing uses the rate that applied that day.

Outcome

You select a client, read rate history and KPIs, and add or change rates without overlapping periods or rewriting past amounts.

Who it's for

Planner / company admin / finance partner

Prerequisites

  • Permission to view or manage client rates
  • At least one client on the Clients list

Steps

  1. Open Business → Clients → Rates (management card, sidebar child, or /clients/rates). From a client row you can deep-link /clients/rates?id=….
  2. Choose a client if the URL did not pre-select one. Statistics and the history table stay empty until a client is chosen.
  3. Read KPIs (latest, average, low/high, VAT) and the history table: amount, VAT, valid from/to, status. The active rate stays open until you close it.
  4. Add a rate when commercial terms change: amount, VAT, dates. Close the previous open period on the change date and open a new period the same day. Do not overwrite the rate that applied that day.
  5. Edit only to correct the current period; the product rejects overlapping rate periods. Use chart/export when you need a visual or file for finance.
  6. Client rates are revenue; people rates are cost. Both use the rate that applied that day. Next in this cluster: Client qualifications.
