Client contracts

Keep billing agreements under Business → Clients → Contracts: list, view, create, and edit contracts invoicing can rely on.

Outcome

You can browse contracts (optionally filtered by client), open contract detail, create a contract with terms and dates, and edit it.

Who it's for

Planner / company admin / finance partner

Prerequisites

  • At least one client
  • Permission to view or manage contracts

Steps

  1. Open Business → Clients → Contracts (/clients/contracts), or use the Contracts card / row action from Clients (?client_id= when deep-linked).
  2. On the list: search and filter; switch grid vs table. Status shows active, expired, or draft at a glance.
  3. View: open View (/clients/contracts/contract?id=…). Check name, client, dates, type, value, billing frequency, status, and any attached documents.
  4. New: Add Contract (/clients/contracts/new). Select client, name, dates, service when relevant, contract type, value, and billing frequency. Save lands on contract detail.
  5. Edit: /clients/contracts/edit?id=…. Update terms when agreements change. Confirm carefully on delete when references exist.
  6. Contracts frame how you bill; rates still live on Rates screens. Next in this cluster: Client rates.
