Finance and setup reports

Outcome

You read Unpaid / Overdue / Invoice aging on `/reports/finance`, scan Freelance margin (including N/A reasons), open Setup health for missing availability and rates, and soft-link Invoicing hub for CRUD: finishing Reports depth with no soft-continue out.

Prerequisites

• Financial report permissions (VIEW_FINANCIAL / VIEW_ALL) for Invoicing & collections and Freelance margin: otherwise those cards stay hidden
• Company/team reports view for Setup health as shipped
• Soft-continue in from Workforce reports when you just finished capacity / OOO

Steps

1. From Reports, Open Invoicing & collections (or go to `/reports/finance`). Set Date range; optionally filter by client when the page offers Select client. Read Unpaid amount, Overdue amount, Invoices (Total in period), and Currency cards. Note Showing invoices from … to … and any Multiple currencies detected notice. Soft-continue in from Workforce reports when staffing is already clear.
2. Scroll Invoice aging: buckets Current, 1–30 days overdue, 31–60, 61–90, and 90+ days overdue with Count and Amount. Review Top clients (unpaid), Revenue breakdown by month (pick a client for the Monthly summary), and Invoices (raw list) columns such as Invoice, Client, Status, Invoice date, Due date, Paid, and Amount. Soft-link Invoicing hub (`invoicing-hub`) when you need to create, email, or export invoices: this report is read-only analytics, not CRUD.
3. Open Freelance margin (`/reports/finance/freelance-margin`). Set Date range (All time may appear as shipped). Read rows with Project, Client, Revenue, Cost, Margin, Margin %, Shifts, Hours, and Currency. When Margin shows N/A, read Reason: e.g. Missing client, service, or resource rates, No verified shifts in period, or Project has payroll employees; cost unknown. Soft-link Resource rates (`md-resource-rates`) and Client rates (`md-client-rates`) to fix gaps before re-checking margin.
4. Open Setup health (`/reports/data-quality/setup-health`). This is a snapshot as of today: not driven by the hub date range. Read Resources without availability, Resources without rates, Clients without rates, and Total resources cards; tables list who/what to fix. All good! No missing setup detected is the healthy empty state. Soft-link People and availability (`resources-and-availability`) for weekly schedules, plus rate tutorials above when rates are missing.
5. This finishes the Reports depth cluster: no soft-continue out. Soft-link Reports hub for Favorites and a new shared date range, Operations reports / Workforce reports if you need to re-walk earlier families, and Finatronic / accounting.* remains out of scope. Do not treat an export or screenshot as the new source of truth versus live Invoicing and Shifts.
