Reports hub

Open Reports: set a shared date range, browse Operations / Workforce / Finance / Data quality cards, star Favorites, and Open a report with your period.

Outcome

As planner/manager/finance you land on `/reports`, pick Last 7/30/90 Days, This Month, Last Month, or Custom range…, recognize the four catalog groups, pin Favorites, and know which family tutorial opens each report.

Who it's for

Planner / manager / finance

Prerequisites

  • At least one reports view permission (company/team/all, financial, or out-of-office as shipped): otherwise the hub shows You do not have permission to view reports
  • Soft-continue in from Email and export invoices (`invoicing-email-and-export`) when you just finished invoicing depth

Steps

  1. Open Reports in the sidebar (or go to `/reports`). The page title is Reports; the description reads operational, workforce, and finance reporting for staffing teams. Soft-continue in from Email and export invoices when you arrived from the finance cluster.
  2. At the top, use Date range (aria label). Presets include Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days (default), Last 90 Days, This Month, Last Month, and Custom range…. For Custom, set Start date and End date (From date / To date fields as shown). The hub remembers the range in the URL (`dateRange`, and `startDate`/`endDate` when custom) so Open carries it into reports that support date filters.
  3. Scroll the catalog. Categories are Operations (Shift delivery, quality, and exception management), Workforce (Capacity, utilization, availability, and staffing risk), Finance (Invoicing, revenue, and collections performance), and Data quality (Spot missing setup that blocks scheduling and reporting). Each card shows a short description: e.g. Shift analytics, Coverage & fill rate, Workforce capacity, Invoicing & collections, Setup health. Simple Mode or missing permissions may hide some cards; that is expected.
  4. Star a card with Add to favorites (star icon). Favorites appear in a Favorites section at the top for next visits (stored in this browser). Click again for Remove from favorites. On a card, use Open to enter the report with your date range when supported: Setup health is not date-driven. Some cards also show Export when you have export permission and the report supports it; deeper Export chrome is taught on Shift analytics in the next tutorial. If you see Custom range not supported for this report, switch to a preset range before Open.
  5. Soft continue: Operations reports: Shift analytics, Coverage & fill rate, and Exceptions & quality (Hours per month soft-linked there). Later tutorials cover Workforce reports and Finance and setup reports. Soft-link Invoicing hub (`invoicing-hub`) when a finance report leads you back to invoice CRUD; soft-link Shifts board and views (`planning-board-and-views`) when numbers look off versus live shifts. Do not treat an export file as the new source of truth.
